Brazil

Brazil is know for so many things, from the incredible Amazon to the sensual samba to the friendly people. From a surfers point of view this county has a lot of waves as well. Brazil is big, and have a huge costal line, and the good thing about that is that there is swell year round.

Queerness

Roman Catholic is the main religion, but still Brazil has a progressiv attitude towards LGBTQ and since 2013 LGBTQ have had equal marriage rights. And since 2019 the Brazilian supreme court has ruled that discrimination based on sexual orientation is a crime. This being said, going into more rural places you might find people that are more conservative. This should in no way keep you from traveling here, because most of the people you will meet at a surf location are super friendly and the hospitality is warm and including.

Northeast

This is the warmest part of the country and the best swell normally comes in between September and March. Our suggestion of where to go is Pipa. This area has waves for all levels.

Where to stay

Check out Arara Surf Camp, they have ISA certified coaches and are coaching all levels.

East

This area has swell year round. You could travel here any time of the year and have waves, and there will be a lot of people since its the most accessible for most people here.

Our suggestions is to go to Buzios beach. This area has waves for all levels and even arrange completions here.

Where to stay

With a beautiful view overlooking the bay this is a great place to come to relax after a day at the beach or just out adventuring.

If you really like to treat yourself, this is the place to stay. If you dont need to be in walking distance from the surf break and if you are a foodie, come here. And if you need a massage after some days surfing, they offer this as well at their SPA.

South

The main season here is between April to October when the south swell from Antartica rolls in. Our suggestion is to travel to Florianopolis.
