Before I say anything, I need to say thank you to everyone that has been fighting for the right to be fully ourselves. It´s their fight that makes this possible, a magazine that connects and shares the joy of queer surfing. For so many, they are alone being the only queer in the lineup, and I hope that this magazine will open up doors and show the diversity even within the queer surf community.
I hope that you as a reader will participate, help us grow this community, and contribute to an inclusive line-up both in and out of the water.
Sharing the different stories of our community will hopefully make it easier for others to live honestly with themselves and others. As the world is starting to open back up and a lot of people want to travel we are making an overview of where to go for a surf adventure, where to stay, and what to be aware of as a queer surfer in different countries.
If you live in or travel to one of these places, California (USA), England, or British Columbia (Canada) there are some queer surf clubs you can look up. They all host different events and meet-ups that are amazing to join. Or if you just like to have more queer surf friends :)
I hope you enjoy these first articles. Please be in touch, either on our Instagram or send me a mail, if you would like to help out in any way, or want to share your story...
